Get Your EICR Reports
Did you know that the number one cause of electrical fires in a home is faulty or old wiring? Luckily, it’s easy to reduce this risk by having your electrical system regularly checked by a qualified electrician. Also known as a Landlord Safety Test or Homebuyer’s Test, EICR Reports ensure the wiring and electrics in a property are safe. If you’re a homeowner or landlord in Birmingham, our team can carry out comprehensive EICR reports to keep your property safe and compliant with government regulations.
Our Services
- EICR Reports
- Landlord Safety Test
- Homebuyer’s Test
- Electrical repairs
- Certificate of inspection
What does an EICR involve?
To carry out a full EICR test, your electrician will disconnect your electricity from the mains supply and check the entire property’s electrical system for its condition, compliance with current standards and safety. This includes:
- Locating and reporting damage or wear and tear that may be a fire hazard.
- Checking for any aspects that don’t meet IET regulations.
- Checking for anything that could cause an electric shock or overheating.
- Providing a certificate of the time of the inspection for your records.
Homeowners should book an EICR at least once every ten years, although Landlords are required to get them booked every five.
Any hazards or damage found can then be quickly corrected so your home is safe and is fully compliant with the latest regulations.
Landlord Safety Checks
Landlords are responsible for ensuring their properties are safe and secure. This includes carrying our regular EICRs which will check the wiring, appliances, and fuse board.
If you’re a landlord in Birmingham, we can arrange for a regular EICR report to be carried out on all of your properties every five years to ensure you comply with new regulations.
